King of the Jungle

First of all, the Facebook page is live, so if you stumble across my blog, please like my page as well :)

What an adventure! I traveled to Out of Africa, about 1.5 hours away on the perfect day to capture these shots. My favorite was definitely the tigers and there were so many of them there! I knew that the species is just about extinct in the wild, but it turns out there are more tigers in Texas than there are in the wild; there are only 3200 left. I really hope we don't lose this majestic animal. A couple sites I found to help the tigers are here and here.

Location Scouting

I have been keeping an eye out for different cool places around the valley for various shoots. I have always known about Downtown Mesa but never really ventured out there. Before Thanksgiving dinner I snuck out to wander around and see what I could come up with, and I was not disappointed! I can't wait to take some subjects there and take advantage of the bold colors {right up my alley} and unique architecture.

{Nikita} On the Town

Nikita was a wonderful model for this puparazzi shoot. With all the kids, other dogs and scary things other photographers had like a swarm of balloons, she remained poised and focused- such a good guard dog.

These photos were shot with my new 70-200mm f2.8 IS lens in Downtown Gilbert... and of course they have my new logo.

Official Logo

It is finally here... My official logo curtsey of Adam Furtado. I love it!

Before & After

I am working on some editing from a shoot today with Nikita, and this photo in particular made a great before and after shot.

These are coming out so great I can't wait to finish! Who needs food? And water?

Wide Angle Lens

I went on a hunt to try and find the wild horses of the Salt River, but had no luck finding them. At least I got to play with the beautiful landscape with my 10-24mm wide angle lens.

Chimi & Queso

Chimi and Queso are adopted sisters (no relation) that have little in common. Queso (black dog) is a happy go lucky puppy at heart that loves to run. Chimi (white dog) is the "big sister" - all business and interested in knowing everything going on. What they do share is a love of chasing each other in the park.

These were shot with my new 70-200mm f2.8 IS lens in Gilbert, AZ.

AZ Ghost Town

This weekend I went to an Arizona ghost town in order to get some western type shots. It was a great day and I found locations that I wasn't even expecting!
